If you’ve found us, you’ve heard of us…
If you’ve heard of us, you know what we do.
At Quiet Consultancy, without exception, all of our clients have come from personal recommendation.
That’s why we prefer to let them tell their stories…
We believe that it’s always about the client, not us; if you’re happy, we’re happy.
Jayne has been involved with our charity partnerships since 1999 and has provided consultant support to IFCF since 2010.
She works with us to deliver comprehensive strategies to shape and direct our far reaching activities. She ensures we raise as much money as we can, that we work effectively with our charity partners and most importantly, create a positive impact within the organisations we partner and the communities we support. She absolutely understands our need for reliable, creative input at pace and our intent to always communicate clearly and effectively.
Jayne’s integrity and professionalism make my role as Chairman of the Foundation simpler and easier to manage.
I had the pleasure of working with Jayne and the Quiet Consultancy when Sir Malcolm Walker, CEO of Iceland Foods and the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation, pledged a significant 8-figure donation to support UCL Dementia Research in Autumn 2015.
The Quiet Consultancy were representing Iceland’s charitable interests, and we could not have found ourselves in a better position to have Jayne at our side when navigating the complexities of a major international food retailer joining forces with a global research university.
Two very different cultures and approaches collided, and it was not always straightforward, but through the Quiet Consultancy’s calm and thoughtful approach, as well as their expertise in marketing, communications and fundraising, working with both major philanthropists and small grass-roots organisations, they helped establish a strong and enduring collaboration with real impact (UCL were named as the hub of the UK National Dementia Research Institute in December 2016).
I have had the pleasure of working with Jayne and The Quiet Consultancy since 2013, when Alzheimer’s Research UK were first a partner with Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation.
It was clear then, and continues to this day, that Jayne is an absolute professional and seamlessly builds that causeway between a major retailer and a major national charity, to ensure that the partnership works incredibly well for both organisations.
Jayne’s willingness to have open and honest conversations around what may or may not work is invaluable, and it is no overstatement to say that without Jayne’s help and support, we would not have raised such significant funds for dementia research.
“I always enjoy working with The Quiet Consultancy. Their purposeful and professional approach combined with their knowledge and experience of the charity sector, always provides a great head start on any project.
We have worked with Jayne Hauxwell and Quiet Consultancy since May 2013 when she was brought in to help assess the strategic direction of fundraising at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust.
Since then, the resource support has evolved in line with our fundraising objectives and she now provides regular highly experienced senior level input to our small team, at a very reasonable and manageable cost. This support enables me to take time out from the day to day operational management and together with Jayne explore opportunities to continuously evolve and grow the charity.
Her support, particularly in sense checking stewardship pathways for major donors, has proven invaluable as has her expertise and up to date knowledge of the corporate sector.
In addition to the strategic support, Jayne always goes over and above and has been integral to the success of some of our high profile operational initiatives, particularly our events. I can’t recommend the Quiet Consultancy, and in particular Jayne Hauxwell, highly enough.
The UK Sepsis Trust, a national charity, have had the pleasure of working with Jayne for the last couple of years. The relationship has developed and strengthened over this time – and we particularly appreciate her ability to think strategically and creatively.
This, combined with her fine attention to detail, is a rare find. Her work ethic is equally impressive and her capacity to problem solve, when necessary, is most welcome. Nothing appears too much trouble.
The Hive, Wirral Youth Zone is a young charity, which after launching was very quickly successful, hugely exceeding expectations in terms of engagement from beneficiaries.
As such we had an early need to increase our supporter base. It is important to us to have a relationship with our supporters over and above a financial donation and to find added value for both parties. Additionally, as a local charity we were keen to engage with local supporters who had a vested interest in the area.
Having met Jayne and Mairi we felt that the Quiet Consultancy was best placed to support our growth ambitions due to their personal approach. They visited and observed our work and listened attentively whilst drawing out clarity around our aims, service, impact, values, needs and ambitions. Their subsequent advice and support did not incorporate any “off the shelf” products, nor was it formulaic, but was entirely bespoke and individual arising out of thoughtful and engaging dialogue. We appreciated their wise advice which built upon our current practice and position, clearly indicating understanding, alongside the making of introductions and links which have led to meaningful partnership relationships with new supporters.
Working with the Quiet Consultancy is itself too, a relationship with our news, both of successes and struggles welcomed and I know that they continue to recommend or promote The Hive as appropriate.
I am more than happy to recommend Quiet Consultancy to anyone looking for individual, personal and purposeful advice and support.
Setting up our own charitable foundation enabled us to build upon our existing CSR activities and make a statement about our commitment as a business to supporting the community.
It was essential we brought in the right expertise to help make this happen. Quiet Consultancy worked with me, the senior team and trustees to provide clarity and help to structure our thinking for the direction of the Foundation. They brought knowledge and expertise helping us direct and develop the positioning and branding of the Foundation to maximise the opportunities to engage our people and clients. To support the longer term management and development of the Foundation Quiet Consultancy helped us identify the expertise and resources we would need and assisted in the recruitment of our Foundation Manager. The services of Quiet Consultancy made a valuable contribution to the development of our DWF Foundation and I would be happy to recommend their services.
'The Quiet Consultancy understood exactly what we needed from the outset; we had a strong culture of community and charitable activity within the business but we needed to pull it together under one umbrella.
We wanted structure and guidance and they worked with us to develop the clear pillars of our foundation, to create a solid platform for the administration and set us off on the right path.
They introduced us to some brilliant charities and supported us to develop our selection process. Our charitable foundation is a really important part of our business and, whilst there is always more we want to do, we know that it has made a positive difference to our local communities.
The Quiet Consultancy company were extremely knowledgeable and professional.
Jayne took time to really understand our requirements and quickly grasped what we want to achieve in order to effectively help us to shape our plans for the future.
Working with the Quiet Consultancy has been an absolute delight and I commend their work wholeheartedly.
If I had to identify one single factor to account for the remarkable progress which we have experienced in our fundraising appeal at Liverpool Cathedral, it would be the quality of the support and advice that we have received from Jayne.
The team have broad experience and great expertise; they are careful listeners and think strategically. They are courteous and reliable, imaginative and bold. It is hard for me to put a value on the support they have given us.
The Quiet Consultancy have been instrumental in the successful development and launch of the House of Fraser Foundation.
Jayne and Mairi are immediately engaging and made what seemed like a minefield, feel relatively manageable! They strike a brilliant balance of compassion and commerciality which cemented their credibility at a senior level from day one.
Their ability and instinct to think outside the box and consistently offer ideas and solutions makes working with them a real pleasure.
Quiet Consultancy expertly helped us to navigate our inaugural corporate partnership, from initial negotiations to successful conclusion.
They were professional, knowledgeable and ethical, combined with creativity and energy which made them a very positive and enjoyable team to work with.
Quiet Consultancy obviously have a genuine passion for the third sector and a clear aim to help all interested parties to make an effective contribution within it. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.
We engaged with the Quiet Consultancy in order to help us define the structure of our philanthropy partnerships for IFB2016.
From the outset, they were professional, knowledgeable and creative, quickly understanding our culture and what we needed to achieve but, most importantly in making a step change in our activity, they understood our audience and what would motivate them.

Prior to working in the sector, Jayne ran a successful retail and design business. In 2022, Jayne was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant in the County of Merseyside.
