The Quiet Consultancy were representing Iceland’s charitable interests, and we could not have found ourselves in a better position to have Jayne at our side when navigating the complexities of a major international food retailer joining forces with a global research university.

Two very different cultures and approaches collided, and it was not always straightforward, but through the Quiet Consultancy’s calm and thoughtful approach, as well as their expertise in marketing, communications and fundraising, working with both major philanthropists and small grass-roots organisations, they helped establish a strong and enduring collaboration with real impact (UCL were named as the hub of the UK National Dementia Research Institute in December 2016).

It was clear then, and continues to this day, that Jayne is an absolute professional and seamlessly builds that causeway between a major retailer and a major national charity, to ensure that the partnership works incredibly well for both organisations.

Jayne’s willingness to have open and honest conversations around what may or may not work is invaluable, and it is no overstatement to say that without Jayne’s help and support, we would not have raised such significant funds for dementia research.

Since then, the resource support has evolved in line with our fundraising objectives and she now provides regular highly experienced senior level input to our small team, at a very reasonable and manageable cost. This support enables me to take time out from the day to day operational management and together with Jayne explore opportunities to continuously evolve and grow the charity.

Her support, particularly in sense checking stewardship pathways for major donors, has proven invaluable as has her expertise and up to date knowledge of the corporate sector.

In addition to the strategic support, Jayne always goes over and above and has been integral to the success of some of our high profile operational initiatives, particularly our events.  I can’t recommend the Quiet Consultancy, and in particular Jayne Hauxwell, highly enough.

This, combined with her fine attention to detail, is a rare find. Her work ethic is equally impressive and her capacity to problem solve, when necessary, is most welcome. Nothing appears too much trouble.

As such we had an early need to increase our supporter base. It is important to us to have a relationship with our supporters over and above a financial donation and to find added value for both parties. Additionally, as a local charity we were keen to engage with local supporters who had a vested interest in the area.

They visited and observed our work and listened attentively whilst drawing out clarity around our aims, service, impact, values, needs and ambitions.
